Ahmed Ouerfelli is conducting, for the first time, a sports law course in English at the University of El Manar for master degree students. The course syllabus for the academic year 2017- 2018 is the following:
I. General introduction and historical background
II. Jurisdiction, arbitration, state courts including constitutional courts: the settlement of sports disputes (example : the Decision of the German Constitutional Court in the Claudia Peschtein case, 2016)
III. Substantive issues : freedom of transfer of players and respect of human rights (example : the Bosman Case 1995, by the European Court of Justice)
IV. Elections and governance : democratic principles (the 2015 FTF elections disputes ; the case of FTK elections ; the 2012 FTH elections, the role of independent commissions in the monitoring of the elections process)
V. Money: Indemnification of clubs and financial fair play (the Bernard case). Third party ownership, accountancy and financial audit issues may be covered.
VI. Fighting against corruption, violence, doping, racism and other dangers threatening the future of sports
